In keeping with today’s theme of hockey (and we promise to move off this subject soon), the Paladin just HAS to comment on the Penguins…
When a team battles so valiantly for a goal that they earn the respect of their opponents, even if they do not achieve the ultimate step in their goal, this says something about their warrior spirit.

While I know this does not particularly fit into the theme of MyComputerPaladin.com, we nevertheless wish to congratulate the Detroit Red Wings for an incredible season of hockey, culminating in the ultimate trophy - The Stanley Cup!
Of course, it helps to know that the staff of MyComputerPaladin.com happens to reside in Michigan, so you can see why we would want to give them a plug.
The team work and tenacity shown by the Red Wings is awe-inspiring, and is a great testimony to aspiring athletes (and common folk) everywhere…you don’t win Stanley Cups by being individuals…you win them by being a strong TEAM.
This is perhaps the Paladin’s disappointment with Basketball…a sport he used to love. It became overrun with individuals playing all too often for themselves, or so it was built up to be. While the Paladin is sure this occurs in every other sport, he feels that what we have seen in this Stanley Cup Finals reminds us all of the true meaning of success: Teamwork.
Now, if we can apply this to our own lives…to live a little better…to spend a little more time helping out our “teammates” on this great team called Humanity, we will truly have applied some of the most important lessons (the Paladin feels) of this year’s Stanley Cup to our own lives.
Go forth, citizens of the realm, and do as you have seen…do good unceasingly and fight for what is right with such fury and tenacity that those who would oppose you will have to yield before your onslaught.
Congratulations to the Detroit Red Wings, 2008 Stanley Cup Champions!
